Project Assistant in AI-Based Research

Workplace Description

The research group consists of approximately 40 employees, including three professors, seven associate professors, and several PhD researchers and doctoral students across various research lines and professions.

The research group is based at the Department of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine, Skåne University Hospital, Lund. The research group is well integrated into the clinical operations regarding both organization and physical premises. Research is conducted in close collaboration between Region Skåne and Lund University, with both employment and research funding distributed between the two organizations.

We are now looking for a project assistant at 100% for six months, with a desired start date of February 1, 2026.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

  • Development of AI-based epidemiological outcome measures using existing registry data.
  • Testing the added value of machine learning compared to traditional statistics regarding outcomes after diagnosis of suspected ischemic heart disease.
  • AI-based management and structuring of registry data.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

  • Education at the university level in bioinformatics.
  • Knowledge and experience from working with artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Desirable qualifications for the position are:

  • Master's degree
  • Education in medical science
  • Experience in programming in Python
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written

Other

The position is a SÄVA (special fixed-term employment) at 100% for 6 months. The desired start date is February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
